Greetings to the Council of Tinkers, Honorary Councilors, Esteemed Generals, and Archivists. My name is Selena Arcadia Eodhan. I was named for being born under a new moon, and my clan is youthful even into their old age. Our people are everywhere, seeking knowledge in all things, holding on to all that we hold dear. The stories, tales, and lives that we hold in the palm of our hands, we are the ones that preserve them for future generations to learn from.

We are keepers of knowledge, guardians of tomes and treatises, born out of a need to preserve the tales of our people across time. My clan was scattered across the lands as we fled from starvation and the overwhelming horror of ooze that swept across everything. Though we may be scattered, and few of us remain, we will still live on through the few that survive.

I take the title of guardian literally. While, slimes may have rampaged across the land and ate everything not hard or spiny, they gave us a source of true material magic. Where men have the aptitude for brute force and strength, women can weave complex patterns and draw out more of the potency in the greatest gift we have: cores. Men and women now work side by side in the military, covering each other's weaknesses and drawing out their own strengths. Even the weakest person can become a force to be reckoned with.

To all who read this now and forever more, I am the guardian of knowledge. I keep that which is important, I guard the secrets of our lives, and I show no mercy to those who would tear our country asunder. May all of our lives prosper and be kept intact while we struggle to thrive in a forever changed world.
