The Void

Karee

  • The Void is like The Veil, but corrupt. All the pieces of Chaos were scattered to the winds. The edges of the universe where the borders start creeping in and everything feels like it’s gone wrong… or where nothing exists at all except you, your memories, and your knowledge. That is The Void.

Jared

  • Eh! The gore of an old god trying to put itself back together. I think I’m gonna puke.

Tobias

  • This feels like a place to avoid, but still, I can’t help but be curious about it. It’s almost like it’s calling to me.

Trinity

  • No, no, nope, no, no, no.

Minerva

  • The battered edges of reality, blasted with the winds of pure, unrefined nothingness, separating this world from… well, it wouldn’t be a good idea to say. The Void requires a bit of a different fundamental makeup to survive, and carries a powerful potential for change, which is the real reason for a noticeable chunk of inherent corruption, but it requires one to do it under their own power, making it a little less dangerous to the mundane.

Essence

mDiyo

  • Essence is… well, it’s in everything, made of everywhere, and I can’t tell the difference between consciousness, energy, and magic.

Karee

  • Essence is the building block of reality. We weave essence into constructs using familiar patterns, anchor it into a single point in space, and put enough effort into the construct to make it real.

Minerva

  • Everything is essence. This whole reality is a ball of different colors of essence.

Divinity

Minerva

  • The divine can easily affect the mundane, from nudging to changing to outright replacing the local levels of reality, causing effects only inhibited by the power and the imagination of the god at work, as well as the Essence being manipulated. I have a lot more to say; but sadly this is meant to be a short QnA lecture.

Jared

  • I don’t see the difference between this and what you call ‘mundane’.

Power

mDiyo

  • Isn’t power just how strong you are? Person or nation, muscles or mind, it’s how much you can throw at something to make it do something with something. Or at something.

Infernus

  • Power is the measure of how much strength you can muster against a foe. If the foe is worthy, your strengths are evenly matched.

Hermes

  • Power is a measure of work. How much effort do you require to change something? This can be as little as changing its place or as much as changing the essence that it is made of. Changing yourself requires the most power as you must have more power than what you are made of to be something else.

Minerva

  • Power is everything one requires to change the world to their preferred image. From physical strength, to knowledge, to will, to even imagination.

Jared

  • Power is what makes the world go round to a point but it’s also how you use it and the imagination you make real with it that matters.
